This 2-bedroom 1-bath apartment is a spacious, quiet, light-filled oasis that’s conveniently located just a 5 minute walk from all that North Berkeley has to offer (Cheeseboard, the original Peet’s, Saul’s, the beautiful rose garden, weekly farmer’s... market). Just half a mile from UC Berkeley’s campus, it's a great option for Berkeley students/faculty! One bedroom is furnished with a very comfortable queen bed. The second bedroom is left empty as a yoga/meditation/movement space, though you could certainly bring your own bed if desired, or convert it into a secluded office space.
The apartment is a part of a triplex home, tucked away from the street, making it a quiet retreat from the hubbub of the day. It’s a perfect mix of craftsman charm with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, in-unit washer & dryer, and a renovated bathroom with shower/tub combo. Fully furnished with beautiful and comfortable furnishings, and fully outfitted kitchen. Dedicated workspace with a sit-stand electric desk & ergonomic chair available for your use, as well as an electric piano you’d be welcome to play if you’re into that. The landlords of the building live in the unit upstairs and are very responsive to any maintenance needs (though there are usually none!).
Street parking only. Bus route 67 (easy access to downtown berkeley) picks up just down the block, and it's only a short 1 mile walk to Bart.
Other perks of the home: - private patio outfitted with a table and chairs for outdoor dining, or just working in the sunshine. - Views! Beautiful wall of bay-facing windows in the living room and a view of the Golden Gate bridge from the kitchen window! (makes doing dishes more fun 😉 ) - central heating (no AC, but the unit stays relatively cool even in the summer heat) - hardwood floors throughout - incredibly quiet and peaceful - wifi and utilities included in cost of rent!
Note that you will have to be able to climb <10 steps to enter the apartment. Not wheelchair accessible.
