Airy 1 bdrm garden apartment in Rockridge, private deck, easy bike ride to campus

This is the whole downstairs (garden level) floor of our home in Rockridge, with a separate street entrance from ours. The kitchen, bedroom, and big living room look out on the garden trees, including a massive flowering magnolia. The big room, with... hardwood floors, has French doors out to a private deck with a round table and chairs. Washer/dryer inside a side storage room, which is also a good place for stashing bicycles.

The location is great for a UC Berkeley person; one of us taught there for many years and usually commuted by bike (15- 20 minutes). Rockridge is one of Oakland's liveliest neighborhoods, many cafes and restaurants along College Ave, which is about 10 minutes' walk from here. The 51 bus runs down College to campus, and our BART station makes commuting to SF & other areas much easier than driving.

We're offering the apartment unfurnished, except for a nice wood bedroom armoire, but are willing to consider furnishing it if necessary. Non-smokers only, please. An energetic squirrel-chasing German shepherd stays with us sometimes, so any pet would need to get along with her (as our last tenants' little dog did).
