Aug 1 (or earlier): light filled room in 2bed/1 bath ; < 1 block from Safeway Apartments (Shared Housing)

Hi! My current roommate is moving in with his partner, so I'm searching for a roommate to fill a room in my 2bed/1 bath apartment in elmwood/rockridge starting August 1. The rent is $1350/month plus around $100 in utilities and its a year long lease.... Its in a great location at the corner of college and alcatraz. Its less than a 2 minute walk from Safeway, Peets, etc and super close to 51b and 79 bus stops. Its also a 10 minute walk to the Rockridge bart stop. I love the location.

The lease starts Aug 1, but both me and my current roommate will be in and out of the country doing fieldwork over the summer, so subletting one of our rooms as early as early June is also possible.

The room is moderately sized with a ton of natural light. (which is hard to see in the pictures taken at night, new pics coming soon lol) It comfortably fits a full sized bed, desk and dresser. It has a door onto a roof/patio, which we're not supposed to put anything on, but is nice for plants, outdoor yoga/whatever. The room does not have a closet but you'll use a closet in the living room. (I lived in this room for 3 years and it was not a pain.)

The kitchen has a disposal and a lot of storage space (although no dishwasher). One of my favorite aspects of the apartment is that the shower/sink are in a separate room from the toilet, which makes sharing super easy. It has a washer/dryer in the basement that is shared with the other 3 apartments in the house.

About me - I am a 28 year old woman and a 4th year PhD student at Berkeley. In my free time I like to do outdoorsy things, try new bars, see live music, and have recently become kind of ~ crafty ~ lol
I usually work 9-5ish in my office on campus and like to keep the house tidy and clean. My current roommate and I have a cleaning schedule which has worked well so far. I am friendly and sociable but enjoy a relatively quiet home, so I'd love to agree to some kind of quiet hours for the common spaces. One thing I love about the apartment is that the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, which affords some privacy :)

My ideal roommate is in their mid 20s-30s and is friendly and fun but also enjoys a quiet and peaceful house. I'm happy to share meals occasionally and hang out, but its also fine if we both do our own thing.
