Beautiful house looking for housemate

Looking for Housemates for this school year ‪from June 1st,2025 to July 30, 2026 ‬ - 1 year lease. Rent is $1270 plus $125 in utilities for a total of $1395.

We are currently looking for a new housemates to be a part of our lovely home in the...
heart of Berkeley. Some of housemates are doing Post Docs and some are PhD students.

Here is some information about the house, broken down into sections about who we are, where we live.

Please read our description and consider if this feels like a good fit for you, and you think you are a good fit for us. We are looking for the right people to welcome into our home.

The House:

We live in a 5-bedroom house on Derby Street, a few blocks above Shattuck Avenue. The house is fully furnished with a beautiful living room, dining room, kitchen, and has a basement with a washer and dryer.
There are three upstairs bedrooms that share a bathroom and two bedrooms downstairs with its own bathroom. Behind the main house is a 3-bedroom cottage that houses two tenants.

The Rooms:
Each room comes with a queen-sized bed, a desk, bookshelf, and a full dresser. The house comes furnished so literally you only need your clothes. The kitchen is equipped as well.

Our goal is to find the right people to become a part of our home. We all want to be able to respectfully live together and also enjoy each other's company and friendship.

Our Community:

We all cooperate with each other in our home to maintain a safe, friendly, and peaceful community. We’re pretty laid back, but we definitely try to keep the house clean. At the same time, we realize that people get busy and so things aren't always going to be spotless, but we believe cleanliness is the foundation for a healthy life, so it’s goal we try to strive for.

We strive to maintain an atmosphere of open, honest communication between everyone on the property. Our home is a safe space where we all respect one another's space and property. We're all about trust here.

We value intentional living. We do our best to recycle, compost, and buy sustainable products. We treat it like a real home because it is a real home.

This home is about working together as a team to create a healthy, trusting, laid-back family of people. We're here to support one another and have fun and successful lives.

We choose our tenants/housemates very intuitively. We want the best fit for the environment we cultivate in our home. Someone who is relaxed, humorous, fun, driven, respectful, compassionate, and ultimately someone who we can trust, love, and respect.

Contacting us:

Contact us if you feel that all this sounds like a good fit for you and that you are a good fit for us. We are open to meeting people who are interested in the house and in our living environment. Please send your contact information, and a description of who you are, and what you like about the house. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

Thank you for taking the time read the description, we really appreciate it!
