Please note that the algorithm information is not correct. Distance to BART is 0.8 miles, and our guests often times bike (10-12 minutes) or scoot (15 minutes) to the BART when they go to the UCB campus.
Likewise the algorithm is not updated re the bustling, gentrified nature of the neighborhood which is described below.
GETTING AROUND: The Richmond BART station is located .8 miles away from the house. This gives you direct access to the Berkeley campus and downtown, Oakland and San Francisco, as well as the SF and Oakland airports. Also available is the 72 Bus that runs along San Pablo Ave. through Richmond, El Cerrito, Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, to Old Town Oakland. The Richmond Ferry terminal (free parking!) that takes you to San Francisco's Embarcadero is 2 miles ride away. Uber and Lyft frequent the neighborhood as well.
If you bring your own car, the house is a short distance from Interstate-80 and 580. There is ample street parking in our safe neighborhood. The best BART station park-and-ride is the El Cerrito Del Norte, 1.8 miles away from the house.
THE RENTAL ROOM AND THE HOUSE: Tucked away in Clinton Estates, this spacious (1350 sq ft) architectural gem offers the perfect retreat from the city bustle. You will enjoy your own large private bedroom downstairs with full access to the shared amenities in my generous two-story house – living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and back yard. The spacious room we rent has a large closet, desk, and bookshelf for your use. The room has a full size bed with a firm mattress and its own full bathroom.
The home features hardwood floors and abundant large windows to let in natural light. Our large dine-in kitchen is fully equipped for your culinary needs, including granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, baking and cooking pots and pans. There is also a formal dining room. The home offers two full bathrooms, one on each floor. The Guest Room has its own newly-renovated bathroom, including a full shower lined with earth rock tiles.
The house is also equipped with super-fast wireless commercial Comcast Blast service for your internet needs (download speed between 700-1000 mbps).
A large screen is provided for your laptop.
New washer and dryer available in the laundry room.

The house is professionally cleaned twice a month. Your share for the bedroom+bathroom is additional $170-190 a month (depending on numbers of hours of work. Our cleaners receive a livable, fair pay of $35/h).
Also please note that I'm extremely allergic to onion, so my guests can't cook or consume it.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Closer to home, there is beautiful hiking and biking in the East Bay parks . A ten minute walk away are food stores, some of the best East Bay ethnic restaurants, food supermarkets, and the famous Catahoula Coffee Roastery. On my block is a beautiful public park with tennis and basketball courts, a soccer field and a playground. You are sure to enjoy this unique location unencumbered by the dense fog of San Francisco.
