Cozy, Private Room for Rent-Easy UC Access

Private room for rent, comfortably furnished, in owner-occupied Albany home. Cozy room, w/private entrance and private bathroom, overlooking the backyard and garden.
Great location, 5-minute walk to El Cerrito BART for easy commute, minutes away... from UC Berkeley, less than 30 minutes to downtown San Francisco, convenient trail for walking or cycling. Solano Avenue mile-long eateries and shops are a couple blocks away. A couple blocks in the other direction, is the convenient El Cerrito Plaza, w/Trader Joe’s, Lucky’s, Barnes and Noble, and more. Safe neighborhood, ample street parking.

The room is located in the back of the house overlooking the yard and garden, which we all share, including my sweet golden retriever. We pick up quickly so all humans can enjoy the yard. There’s plenty of light and ventilation in the room. The room is adjacent to the kitchen, separated by solid wood double doors for privacy (the doors remain locked). But we do start our first morning brew at 6:30 a.m. This room comes furnished, including twin bed, wardrobe closet, dresser, small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee pot, desk, linens, kitchenware. Private shower and bathroom are all yours! No house or kitchen access, but with all the great eateries, just walking distance away, you wouldn’t want to cook anyway! There are two convenient laundry mats, just a quick walk away too.

This is a smoke-free home. No alcohol or drug usage please. Tenant needs to be relatively quiet, clean, responsible, communicative. Perfect for visiting professor, grad student, traveling nurse. PG&E (electricity/gas) and EBMUD(Water) to be proportionately split between homeowner and tenant. PG&E and EBMUD NOT included in rent. Rent includes bi-weekly housekeeping service, tenant to accommodate cleaning schedule.
