MINI HOUSE IN THE WOODS A beautiful, light filled, very quiet boutique cabin in the heart of the North Berkeley Hills. Recently renovated with high quality amenities, thoughtfully designed details and abundant storage. It offers hydronic radiant in... floor heating, a professional eat-in kitchen, solar operated skylights (one above the shower), new appliances, soapstone counters, and a copper sink.
The cabin is a special place with a warm rustic feel, mature trees all around the neighborhood is great for walking with many Berkeley Pathways nearby. Deer, turkeys, fox, and hawks are around and part of the day to day of living here. And yet, it’s just a 15 minute downhill walk to campus, the Rose Garden, the gourmet ghetto and a quick bus ride to LBL.
My design studio occupies a separate front room of the cabin and will be unused during the rental period. The rental is a private, autonomous 420 sf cabin of your own with a private 400 SF redwood deck with umbrellas, cafe lights, space heaters, and a large garden and a vegetable patch with herbs and lettuces growing.
The house is suitcase ready, supplied with new high quality sheets, kitchen and bathroom towels. All other bedding (comforters, shams, throws, pillows, blankets) and linens are either dry-cleaned or laundered between rentals. It is fully furnished: queen size bed, kitchen table and seating. Appliances include a Blue Star professional range, a Bosch dishwasher and washer/dryer and a wall mounted smart TV. Small kitchen appliances are also provided (coffee maker, toaster oven, food processor, electric kettle etc.). It’s a special place with a lot of soul, ideal for anyone making an extended stay in Berkeley. Optional cleaning service is available.
The rent is $2800/mo and the utilities and cleaning are $200/month. Utilities include water, gas, electric, garbage and high speed internet. Cleaning occurs every other week.
