This is a month-to-month lease, ideal for visiting students and researchers, especially during the summer. Rent is $1350/month and includes all utilities. Street parking is free.
The house is located on a quiet, tree-lined corner in lower Rockridge/upper Temescal, conveniently situated near the Elmwood neighborhood. It is within a 10-minute walk of Rockridge BART, Trader Joe's, and various cafes and stores on College Avenue. Additionally, it is just a 3-minute walk from bus/shuttle routes that connect directly to UC Berkeley, Downtown Berkeley, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
The unit will be shared with two other individuals who have their own private bedrooms: the owner of the building (point of contact) and an incoming UC Berkeley PhD student (the creator of this post).
The building is owned by a middle-aged professional woman who shares the house with her son, who lives in a separate downstairs unit with his housemates. The other roommate is a quiet young man who works as a research assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and will begin his PhD program at UC Berkeley in Fall 2025. We maintain quiet hours from 10:30 PM to 7 AM. The owner occasionally works from home in her room.
The owner has a medium-sized hypoallergenic dog.
Guests are welcome, including infrequent overnight guests with advanced notice.
