Private fully furnished bedroom for rent in a large, art-filled home at the top of the Berkeley Hills - $1500/month. This is a shared suite with one current occupant (quiet, courteous PhD male student). We are looking for 1 renter, male, quiet and... mature foreign graduate/PhD student. Details as follows:
Large private bedroom with wall-to-wall desk and a lot of storage
Private, fully remodeled bathroom shared with another student.
We have a very well-equipped home gym, which you’re welcome to use
Beautiful outdoor deck with a fireplace and breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge
Access to washer and dryer
Access to fully equipped gourmet kitchen

Water, electrical, garbage, utilities are included.
On street parking, no permits required.
Rooms are professionally cleaned 2X per month.

We are 2 miles from the north end of UC Berkeley. The bus stops across the street with direct service to campus, 10 minutes away (or a 25-minute downhill walk).
Tilden Park is 5 minutes away in the opposite direction, if you like to run, bike, swim, golf or hike.
Rent is From September 2025 to May 2026, 9 or 10 months lease, exact dates TBD, Afterward can be extended month to month.
This is not a separate unit, although you will have a separate entrance, it's in our home, so there would be some restrictions (no overnight guests, no smoking inside, things like that). We also have a cat, so if you’re allergic, factor that in.
We are an older professional couple with a son who is going off to college, so his suite is being rented out. It's available from September 1, 2025.
