Private furnished bedroom and private bathroom in home, Kensington

Private, furnished, one-bedroom, with private bathroom. Kensington is in the east bay hills adjacent to Tilden Park and the North Berkeley Hills/ Thousand Oaks neighborhoods. It is a fairly short bus ride to campus, which is about 4.5 miles away and... is bikable for those who don't mind pulling the hill back home. Kensington is an extremely nice, safe, and quite neighborhood with small grocery stores, shops, and restaurants located in two places, each about a 5 minute walk from us.
The room is located downstairs in this two story house, and has a private bathroom including a shower. You have to go through the garage to get to the room. The upstairs kitchen, backyard, and nice deck with a view, are shared with this family of 4, who live upstairs and one other Cal student. Use of the washing machine and dryer is also included.
The room has one window and it is located underneath our kitchen that you would share with us. It has a small but nice private bathroom attached to it, with its own small shower, and marble floors. As you can see from the first picture, you have to walk through our garage to get to it.
It is isolated from the rest of our house however, so is very private. You will hear us over your head a little in the morning and again in the afternoon and evenings until about 9:30pm to 11pm at the latest, when the family quiets down for the night.
We share the kitchen so you have to clean up after yourself. We provide a modest amount of space in the refrigerator, freezer, and pantry for food storage and shelf space.
We also have a nice back yard with a covered patio (with ping pong table and dart board) and a rear deck you are welcome to share. The view is nice from up on our deck, where you can relax after work or school. On clear days(it is foggy in Kensington), you can see the towers of the Golden Gate bridge.
The neighborhood is nice, very safe, and quiet, but not very far from city fun. It has easy access to bus and BART lines, though most of our prior tenants have taken their bikes (or E bikes) to Berkeley for school or work. BART is about a 15 to 20 minute walk down the hill.
We have three dogs, German Short Haired Pointers. They are very nice with people but if you are afraid of dogs, this is not the place for you.
We are looking to share our house with a polite, respectful, reasonably quite person who knows how to clean up after themself and be a respectful guest. No smoking and no drugs will be tolerated. No incense either please. An occasional guest of yours, will be OK but this is a place for someone who wants a safe, quite place to live, work, and study.
We have rented to Cal students and visiting faculty for over 15 years with great success. One stayed all the way through undergraduate engineering school. One year lease preferred.
Please email if you are interested and I will reply with more details. The move in date is flexible.

Thanks, Looking forward to meeting you and doing a virtual tour
Andy
