Great home for Visiting Scholars, Students and Post - Docs. Private room in quiet, classic Berkeley bungalow. I am an easy-going, low-key independent researcher (CAL alumni) , and well - traveled internationally - minded linguist. The guest room... includes bed, desk, office chair, bookcase, large walk-in closet; sheets and towels provided. Comfortable and roomy, the house has a backyard native garden, plum, lemon, fig and persimmon trees, deck and sunroom. Located within walking distance of various shopping destinations including 4th street, Whole Foods, Picante, Funky Elephant, Westbrae (including Monterey Market, Berkeley Natural, Gioia Pizza and Magnani's) , Acme Bread and Bartavelle, the neighborhood offers the authentic, historic Berkeley. Bonus areas include sun room, large deck, dining and living room; it is an 8 minute walk to the North Berkeley BART and a 15 minute bike or 17 minute bus ride to the Berkeley campus. The 52 bus direct to CAL, Berkeley Law, North Berkeley BART is a minute walk from the house. Included in rent are high speed internet, utilities, cleaning products, and fresh fruit from trees in summer and early autumn. Flexible length of stay. Parking available. International students and visiting scholars welcome! Ample parking available. There is a small cleaning fee depending on length of stay.
