Room in lovely bungalow in peaceful neighborhood May-August House (Shared Housing)

Hello!
I am renting a room in my house for the summer with the possibility of continuing into the school year. The home is a 1920s bungalow with hardwood floors and ample natural light, a charming garden, and a finished garage for extra storage or... office space. Since we will be living together, we will need to meet and feel into our compatibility as housemates.


Rent includes the following:

Bedroom with spacious closet and ample natural light (125 ft2)

Office/storage room in the finished garage next to the house for your personal use (84 ft2)

Shared access to the common areas: kitchen, bathroom, dining room, living room, garden, main garage (space for bikes or scooters, and some additional storage)

Laundry on-site

Heating and air conditioning

Free street parking (no permit required)

Accessibility
Unfortunately, the house is not wheelchair accessible. There are 5 steps up to the front and back entrance.


Lease and utilities
I am looking to rent the room from May-August; specific dates can be clarified head of time depending on your schedule. We will sign a short term lease for this period of time. If you are interested in continuing to live here after that point, we can discuss options.

Utilities vary month to month, but will be approximately $115-175 including water, gas, electricity, trash, and wifi

Security deposit is $1000

A bit about me
I identify as a cis, queer, white woman in her early 40s who loves gardening, playing music, being creative, and spending quality time with friends and family. I am a clinical social worker and practice ecotherapy at local parks 1-2 days a week and otherwise work from home. I am mostly vegetarian and enjoy cooking and eating with housemates and friends. I very rarely drink alcohol or smoke weed. I value quiet time in the mornings for meditation and journaling. I love to dance and welcome kitchen dance parties at night!

I hope to co-create a home environment that cultivates community with friends and neighbors that is also supportive of our individual wellbeing and personal/professional aspirations. Open and honest communication is a must for me!

You are looking for a peaceful and warm home for the summer. You value open communication, honesty, transparency, and authentic connection. You would benefit from some extra space for an office or art studio or meditation pad etc.
You don’t smoke and you usually don’t wear perfume/cologne and only enjoy natural scents like essential oils or scented candles from time to time. You benefit from a balance of alone time and social time like sharing a meal or having friends over for a potluck.
