Summer sublet in large, sunny 3br/2.5ba apartment between Macarthur and 19th St BART
Hello!
I'm a 5th year PhD student at Cal interning in NYC this summer and a bit into the fall (June 1 - Sept 1). Looking to sublet my room in this 3 br apt for that time! Ideally could find someone to rent for most/all of that time but really just... trying not to pay double rent between here and NYC so happy to talk deals/discounts depending on how long you'd be interested in subletting.
About the apartment: Huge, light-filled apartment just off Telegraph in between Macarthur and 19th st BART. This is a really lovely space that feels homey and is fully equipped. Includes W/D in-unit, gas stove, dishwasher, basement storage, backyard with grill, etc. The landlords used to live in the apartment so it's well appointed and doesn't feel like a generic rental. There is 1 full bathroom that you'd share with another housemate as well as a half bath in the back next to the laundry room. There is another full bath but it is an en-suite to the other roommates room.
You're close to downtown Oakland as well as Temescal for food, nightlife, etc. and it's reasonably easy to get into the city (plus since you're close to stops that are serviced by the yellow, red, and orange lines you have more options to get to and from the city or campus). See photos!
About the room: I'm subletting my furnished room which includes a queen sized bed, desk, dresser, and lounger. I can probably move some of the furniture out but the bed will definitely have to stay. The room also has a cute little nook for reading that you can see in the attached photos.
About the roommates: Two female-identifying grad students (30 and 33), both on the tail-end of the PhDs and wrapping up this Fall, but very much a chill grad student vibe. They're very sweet!
