We seek one visiting scholar for our beautiful, furnished lower flat. Other people in this building are also scholars. The building is behind another house, away from the quiet, oak-lined street. This bedroom has an in-room plumbed vanity. The flat... has three bedrooms, a big, airy living room, nice kitchen, on-site laundry, drawers and closets for your clothes, linens, plenty of heat, plenty of light, and high-speed Internet. Outside is another, shared patio, and a park with tennis and basketball courts is a few hundred feet away. We live in a friendly, quiet neighborhood with an astonishing array of amenities, which are described on the map I included in the photos. Ecological features include Energy Star appliances, zero-VOC paint, floors made of fully-renewable and warm bamboo, fire-retardant, yet zero-VOC, insulation made of used blue jeans, a dual-flush toilet, a pauseable shower head, dual-pane windows, and allergy-free convection heaters. One cat lives here and does not go into this room. We cannot host more pets. It is not OK to smoke anywhere on this property. Covid test required. Security deposit and occasional chore are required. We prefer full-time workers or scholars. Visitors to the Bay Area are welcome. There is reliable on-street parking next to the house. Nearby are BART and buses. We are one BART stop from campus, and it takes me about seven minutes between campus and here by bike.
