With a high walk score of 99, daily errands do not require a car. The Metropolitan is within a short walk to restaurants, retail stores, groceries, pharmacy, medical care, and a public bus stop. The Downtown Berkeley – Bart subway station is a quarter mile away.
The unit faces an inner courtyard making it very private and secure, and the bedroom gets plenty of natural light and ventilation through the large, sound-resistant windows. The bedroom can be locked from the inside or outside, and the unit locks with a deadbolt. I will transfer my fob and key to you for your use during the term of the sublease. The second bedroom will be occupied by a UC Berkeley student.
Included in the rent are basic bedroom and living room furniture (as shown in the photos), high-speed internet, and cable. Rent includes all utilities and Wi-fi. The kitchen has granite counters and comes with a microwave, dishwasher, and full-sized fridge. There are full-sized communal kitchens with stoves and ovens on the 2nd and 5th floors.
Among many other resident amenities in the building (see the property website), the building has a study lounge on every floor, a game room as well as a 360-degree roof deck with views of the San Francisco Bay. A key fob is required to enter the building, as well as access the elevator. There is a public garage on the first floor. Bike parking is available. Building management is quick to respond to maintenance requests.
